Learn a new constellation.

Every night I look at the stars but I still barely know anything about them. I know a few constellations, but I don’t even know anything about them.

Take the Big Dipper for instance. What’s its origin?

Apparently, it’s part of a larger constellation called Ursa Major (“the great bear”).

In Greek mythology, this constellation was named after Callisto, a goddess who was transformed into this bear after the god Zeus fathered a bastard child with her.

While, an Arabic myth looks at the four rectangular spaced stars of the Big Dipper as a coffin, with the three stars as three grieving followers.

Interesting.
